Irving J. Diaz Irving Diaz’s commercial real estate experience has deep roots in South Florida dating back to 1993. Diaz has been a commercial real estate associate with such local and national real estate companies as Century 21, DRE Group and Camp & Associates International. During his 13 year tenure with these firms, Diaz was involved in a wide array of transactions, including: investor, landlord, and tenant representation, investment real estate acquisitions and dispositions, hold vs. sell analysis, buy vs. lease analysis, commercial property valuations and commercial real estate finance. In later years, Diaz progressed into management and entrepreneurial capacities. He served as president and senior broker of HCBB Properties, a commercial real estate brokerage and advisory firm specializing in healthcare related properties. His responsibilities included overseeing companywide operations, including strategic management, business development and corporate finance. In late 2007, during the real estate economic downturn, a commercial mortgage lending crisis arose, whereby commercial mortgage loans were difficult to obtain. This led to a niche opportunity in helping investors secure debt and private equity capital for their commercial real estate investment and development projects. As a result, Diaz founded SouthOne Capital, a commercial real estate finance firm that sourced and arranged commercial funding on behalf of investment sponsors. Diaz served as the principal broker and senior managing director, while directly overseeing the loan underwriting process. Presently, Diaz is the principal broker and managing director of Irving J. Diaz & Associates, a commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in the lease and sales of Office and Industrial Properties throughout South Florida’s Miami Dade and Broward counties, and provides corporate and investment real estate services to local and national tenants, accredited investors, real estate developers, family trusts and private equity groups. Diaz holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida International University, is a Florida licensed real estate broker and is fluent in English and Spanish. |
