Dade Medical College Signs on for 39,971 Square Feet at Repositioned Complex

MIAMI LAKES, FL (Repost from June 2011) – Keystone Property Group, a leading real estate developer, manager and investor of office and industrial properties, announced today that the company has signed its first tenant at Miami Lakes Business Center, a 145,545 square-foot two-story office building in Miami Lakes, FL.

Dade Medical College signed a long-term 39,971-square-foot lease. The college will use its space in the building for additional teaching facilities.

”The property has attracted significant interest from a number of educational institutions, said Noël Steinfeld, Vice President, Office Properties, CB Richard Ellis Brokerage Services, which is the exclusive leasing agent for the property.

“Miami Lakes Business Center represents a great opportunity for Dade Medical College to occupy high-quality advanced space in a great location that supports the institution’s ability to continue to prepare students with employable skills,” Steinfeld added. “This lease will have a tremendous impact on the Miami Lakes area and we expect other tenants to join Dade Medical at this complex in the near future.”

In late 2008, Keystone acquired the building, which had been a Bank of America facility, for $11.4 million. The 10.71-acre site, which was 100 percent vacant at the time of the acquisition, offers direct access to the Palmetto Expressway, and is conveniently located near to I-75, the Florida Turnpike, and I-95. The property also features ample parking, with 5.5 parking spaces per 1,000 square feet of space.
